Daniel Craig, the most well known face of James Bond will be doing film scenes as the iconic agent in Buckingham Palace for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Queen Elizabeth has asked Daniel Craig to film the thrilling scenes as 007 for the London Olympic Games. The Queen has personally invited Daniel Craig open the 2012 London Olympic Games Ceremony.
The film director Danny Boyle is the creative director of the London Olympics opening ceremony. He is very thrilled to make 007 a key part of the spectacle. Actor Daniel Craig and Director Danny Boyle and his crew were allowed into the Queen’s private rooms this Tuesday.
People all over the world will get an opportunity to see these spectacular scenes. They will get to see James Bond getting instructions from the Queen to open the Olympic Games. After that he will be taken by helicopter to parachute into the 2012 London Olympic stadium in Stratford, East London. People watching the Olympic Games on TV will get to see these fabulous sights on July 27. Filming the scenes took months. Yet if the scenes turn out to be good, it will surely be worth the effort.
The Queen personally sanctioned filming of these scenes. The scenes have even caught a glimpse of Britain’s famous Buckingham Palace. The queen might also make a cameo appearance. Queen is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee in 2012. This year marks the Queen’s 60 years on the throne. 2012 also marks 50th Anniversary of British Bond movies.
Queen to open London Olympic Games
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will open 2012 London Olympic Games on Friday, 27 July at the Olympic Stadium. The Queen will attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on Friday, July 27. She will be received by Sebastian Coe, the Chairman of organizing committee and Jacques Rogge, president of International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Olympic Stadium is at Stratford, East London. The Oscar winning Director Danny Boyle will oversee the opening ceremony of the Olympics Games. The Paralympic Games will start on August 29, 2012. The Paralympic Games will also be opened by the royal couple. This will be the first occasion when the Queen will open the Paralympic Games.
The royal couple is celebrating their Diamond Jubilee this year. The Queen, 85 and the Prince Philip, aged 90 are planning an extensive tour this year. The couple will visit Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. They will be having a flotilla on river Thames. As a part of the celebrations, there will be a gala concert in front of the Royal Buckingham Palace. There will be a carriage procession through the London Streets after a service of thanksgiving. The Buckingham Palace will be open to visitors from June 30-July 8. This year, the Queen will also honor the Paralympic athletes. All these initiatives have made the Olympic Games a very important event for London.
