London Olympics resale ticket site to reopen next week

London Olympic ticket resale to resume next week

London 2012 organizers have assured that the online ticket resale service which had been suddenly withdrawn a week back following a chain of complaints is going to be revived at some time in the coming week. The London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has put the blame for these issues with the website directly at the door of the ticketing partner Ticketmaster, and the Ticketmaster has been functioning from last Friday to revive the system.  So, if you are still looking for Olympic tickets, it is a good news that the London Olympics resale ticket site would be reopening next week.

The resale website was created to permit enthusiasts to sell tickets they don’t require, where others could purchase them on an early bird basis. The service provided people who could no more make use of their tickets the chance to resell them at face value. The service had been withdrawn after going live for a few hours as a result of grievances from potential purchasers who repeatedly discovered tickets which seemed to be available but had already been purchased. Many of the potential prospective buyers were left disheartened as their efforts to purchase tickets were unsuccessful, with the website even after hours of logging in, displayed the same tickets as available yet not able to purchase them. Organizers of London 2012 stated that the confusion had struck countless people trying to purchase tickets and the subsequent delay to remove those tickets from the system after they had actually been bought.

Even though sales of tickets for the Olympic football tournament and also the Paralympics have been restored for the website, the resale services have remained unavailable from 6 January. LOCOG stated it would offer additional information in the coming week on the precise date when the ticket reselling service will be restored as well as whether the resale window will be prolonged past 3 February.

The tickets for Olympic Football Tournament as well as the Paralympics will be available till 6pm on 6 February, 2012. The Olympic Football Tournament will be held in six of UK’s best stadiums. You will get to witness 13 action packed days. The ticket price will start at just £20. Younger people may enjoy reduced prices. The ticket prices for people over 60 years of age will also be reduced. Ticket prices for the 12 day Paralympic Games will start at just £10 for Adults while it will be just £5 for young people as well as seniors. If you wish to purchase an Olympic Games or Paralympics ticket online or by phone you need to have a Visa Card. If you want to make the purchase online, you will have to create a ticketing account and sign in. If you haven’t already done this, you may register and send ask about the events that interest you most. You will be emailed the entire information and you will also get answers to all your queries on their official website. Make sure to visit the official website and stay away from frauds and scams.

Tickets for the London Prepares Series are also being sold now. London Prepares Series is basically a sports testing programme. You can see numerous Olympic and Paralympic sporting events on the actual Olympic venues. You will in turn help LOCOG to test the fields of play, venues, timing systems and scorings.
